Which styles survive game filters

Every game filters usernames differently, and styled text is where players get tripped up. From most to least reliable:

1. Bubble letters and small caps. Accepted by PUBG, Free Fire, and Roblox in our experience. Your safest pick.
2. Bold and gothic. Usually fine, though some games normalize them on leaderboards.
3. Fullwidth. Works in most games and looks distinct.
4. Zalgo glitch. The riskiest. Many games strip combining marks or reject the name outright. Test before you commit.

Rules that apply everywhere

• Keep it short. Long styled names get cut off in kill feeds and scoreboards.
• Make it pronounceable. If your teammates cannot say your name in voice chat, they will call you something else.
• Avoid impersonation. Do not style your name to look like a famous player or a game admin. That gets accounts banned, not admired.
• Check availability first. Style it, then check the name is free in-game before you get attached.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make my PUBG name stylish?

Use a Unicode text generator to convert your name into styles like gothic, bold, or bubble letters, then copy it and paste it into PUBG’s rename card or profile settings.

Why won't Free Fire accept my styled name?

Free Fire’s filter blocks some Unicode characters, especially zalgo combining marks. Switch to bubble letters or small caps, which are accepted most reliably.

Can I use stylish fonts in my Roblox display name?

Yes for display names, which accept many Unicode styles. The @username handle is stricter: letters, numbers, and underscores only.

Will a styled username get me banned?

No, as long as the name itself follows the game’s rules. Styling is just text characters. Impersonating staff or using offensive names is what gets bans, styled or not.
